As a part of my mission to spread the word about the need for fathers to be regularly involved in their children’s lives I have started an initiative that will allow me to go around to different schools speaking to parents. The main goal is to talk to parents and share my experiences with them, but to also provide them with resources to help them and their children throughout the school year.

A few weeks ago I had to opportunity to speak at an event in Norfolk, Virginia at Suburban Park Elementary School. The event was organized by myself and one of the school’s guidance counselors, Mrs. Brandi Roberts. The event gave me the opportunity to speak with parents of children over breakfast. We talked about some key elements for raising students who will excel academically and socially.
