The 13-year-old boy who killed his neo-Nazi father three years ago will serve seven to ten years in a California state juvenile facility.
The sentence came Thursday when Judge Jean R. Leonard ruled that the boy will go to jail without the possibility of parole for the next seven years.
Attorneys for the boy argued that his father was emotionally and physically abusive to him which caused him to develop extreme disabilities.
According to prosecutors Jeffrey Hall, 32 was shot and killed at point blank range as he slept on his sofa recovering from a late night drinking binge on May 1, 2011. When police questioned the boy, he told them that he killed his father because he was afraid of having to choose between living with his father or stepmother if the two divorced.
Jeffrey Hall was a major player in the ne0-Nazi organization known as the National Socialist Movement and also was a father to three girls.
