The mother of slain teenager Trayvon Martin has created a Youtube video in time for mother’s day requesting support for the Second Chance on Shoot First campaign. This initiative has been created to repeal any laws across the country that are similar to Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” position.

In the video Sybrina Fulton said “This will be my first Mother’s Day without my son, Trayvon. I know it will be hard, but with my faith, family, and the outpouring of national support, I will get through.”

Mrs Fulton and other prominent activists groups like the NCAAP, ColorOfChange, the National Action Network and more are supporting the Second Chance on Shoot First campaign.

“I’m asking you to join Florida by calling upon the governor of your state to re-examine similar Stand Your Ground laws throughout the nation to keep our families safe. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It has to be tough for Mrs. Fulton to go through this mothers day with out her son.  She needs to be lifted up in prayer right now.  Not just her, but every mother who has lost a child to gun violence should be in our thoughts in prayers during this mother’s day weekend.
